eco-alchemist's odyssey

Demo Video:

Eco-Alchemist’s Odyssey is an independently developed pixel-style RPG prototype that demonstrates my ability to design, produce, and technically implement stylized art assets within a functional game system, and it merges my personal interests in game design and wildlife conservation. The project uses environmental themes as a framework to explore how visual states, game systems, and player actions can be tightly integrated.

I created all pixel art assets in Aseprite and implemented them in Unity, focusing on maintaining visual consistency, readability, and scalability across different environments and gameplay states. Art assets were designed with engine constraints in mind and integrated into gameplay systems where player decisions dynamically affect environmental conditions and ecosystem metrics.

From a technical art perspective, this project emphasizes a production-aware 2D art pipeline, asset organization, and in-engine iteration. Visual elements were closely aligned with system feedback to ensure that changes in the ecosystem are clearly communicated through environment states and UI-adjacent visual cues. Environmental soundscapes were also edited and integrated to reinforce spatial identity and world-building.
